We love to paint the the city of Cincinnati. Generally if you check out our work most of our paintings focus on the skyline however, over the last few months we decided to get into the city and bring some street scenes to life.
The first city scene was a capture of OTR Cincinnati by Jeff Johns. You can view that painting here. After sharing this with the world it was sold instantly.
After a new client saw that piece they were inspired to capture a street in which they lived with a focus of the building they reside in. We then captured reference images of the street to provide a range of directions for final selection. Below you can check out the photography captured to inspire this painting. See if you can find the client select visual!
While this is just a start of the progress, it’s fun to share so you can see the painting come to life. Stay tuned as we’re looking forward to sharing the final painting in the near future.

Here’s a progress capture on my latest painting titled, OTR | Cincinnati. This acrylic on canvas painting will be hanging above the fireplace soon.
Our most recent painting of the Cincinnati skyline was just finished this week. This commissioned painting titled, Cincinnati in July, uses bold strokes and vibrant color to capture the essence of the beautiful skyline. We continue to enjoy painting this perspective of the Cincinnati Skyline as it showcases the city’s most iconic buildings. This is actually the fourth painting we’ve done from this perspective.
Here’s the latest commissioned painting, titled Cincinnati in April. Really enjoying painting this perspective of the Cincinnati Skyline because it truly captures the essence of the city’s most iconic structures. The vivid Ohio River draws your eye right up to the beautiful Suspension bridge on the left of the canvas framed by the Great American building and ballpark to the right of the canvas. The symmetry of the city is spectacular from this vantage point, which is likely why this is the third painting from this perspective and we’re starting a new one next week.
Here’s the progress capture on my latest Cincinnati painting. This piece captures the beautiful Suspension Bridge, vibrant Ohio River and fog sweeping across some of the city’s most iconic buildings.
