Thrilled to share our latest commissioned painting of this breathtaking church located downtown Cincinnati on Sycamore Street. St. Francis Xavier Church was an absolute pleasure to bring to life with brush and paint. This church has quite the history in Cincinnati as it’s first mass was celebrated there over two hundred years ago!

Given the amazing history of the church, this piece is being commissioned for an upcoming wedding. If you look close you can even see we worked the time of the wedding into the clock hands. Enjoy!

Optimus Prime | Transformers (A painting for Jackson)

With being home around the boys it’s been fun to do some new paintings for them and their rooms. Jackson and I spent weeks trying to figure out what to paint for his room that would capture what he was most in to right now. He recently had a Blaze and the Monster Machines painting on his wall that I did about 3 years ago and since he’s grown out of that we needed something new.

He’s super into robots at the moment and we came to the conclusion that the Transformers are the ultimate robot because they can turn from one thing into another. My favorite Transformer growing up as a kid was Optimus Prime and it’s funny that Jackson’s is too because I was able to create a toy that I spent most of my childhood with. Now it’s currently hanging proud on his well and his face when it was complete was priceless.

Pink Ribbon Luncheon | Cincinnati 2015

It was an honor to be featured artists “live painting” the 2015 Pink Ribbon Luncheon, Cincinnati at the Duke Energy Convention Center this year. Such a great experience to meet so many people and showcase our true passion for painting with others and to top it off, a percentage proceeds from sales went to support breast cancer care.

We started to gear up for the event by working on a cityscape painting of the beautiful Cincinnati Skyline. We worked it in grey-scale first then decided to add pink and really Pink the Town.

What an event, not only did we support such a good cause, we also met a ton of great people and make some really strong connections while doing what we love to do, and that’s paint the beautiful Cincinnati Skyline.

St. Johns and Cincinnati | Acrylic on Canvas

Here’s the latest on the painting I’ve been rocking for my wife and I. This painting captures everything we love about the city. The church we were married in, Paul Brown Stadium on a Monday Night Football evening and of course the amazing skyline.

There’s about fifteen hours left until this piece will be complete. My plan is to tighten up the buildings in the skyline, add some color and form to the houses under the skyline and treat the expressway like a time lapse photo with blurred lines of traffic to really add some color and boldness to the piece.

Stay tuned for the final piece. Once it’s complete, I’ll take a nice photo with the DSLR and post.

This painting is titled Bluffs View Cincinnati Skyline because the view is nestled up in The Bluffs, this lovely little neighborhood nestled up on a hill in Park Hills, Kentucky.

Here’s a peak in the studio at an early start to the painting titled, St. Johns and Cincinnati I’m rocking for our anniversary coming up in May. Don’t tell my wife I’m doing this, it’s a surprise.

What makes this painting super special is that it features the church we got married in, St. Johns, we both love the city of Cincinnati, and of course the lit up stadium of our favorite NFL team, the Bengals. I actually took the reference image one night before heading down to a Monday Night game when the Bengals beat the Broncos late 2014.
