Artwork now on display 14th and Main, Cincinnati Ohio (OTR)

Jeff Johns is excited to announce that he’s again displaying artwork in Over-the-Rhine (OTR), Cincinnati’s oldest and most historic neighborhood. Swing downtown to the 14th block of Main and check out the work. The paintings by Cincinnati-based fine artist Jeff Johns include, Ding in the Universe, a portrait of Steve Jobs using the actual keys off of an apple keyboard to display Johns favorite quote from this icon, “I want to put a ding in the universe.” Another painting on display is Thought Different, the first of the Steve Jobs series of paintings by Cincinnat-based fine artist, Jeff Johns. ”30″ x 40″ Acrylic on Canvas painting of a Hawaiian Hibiscus. Which in Hawaiian language can be translated to NaniAloalo. However, I am still trying to distinguish this certain species of flora. Research indicates that this hibiscus is the Kokiʻo keʻokeʻo, and it’s simply beautiful so I’ve decided to call this piece “Nani |I am currently working this Aloalo series for potential gallery placement on the lovely island of Kauai. This would be a dream come true. So I’m going to paint away, share the progress of this exciting new art venture.

Majestic Sunflower 3 ~ 16″ x 40″ Mixed Media on Canvas

Hope you enjoy the series of Majestic Sunflower. Happy to introduce the 3rd painting of this series. This is the second painting to be commissioned after the creation of the original which has also been sold.

It’s fun to study each piece, while building off what was learned in each of the prior sunflowers. While I’ll be the first to admit, there’s nothing like the original, the one that inspired all these great paintings, it’s fun to take what you’ve learned on one and carry that onto another, leaving a stamp in time of the progression of the Majestic Sunflower series.   It is neat to see the aesthetic enhancements made throughout each series.
