Here’s the final capture on this painting that captures the love between two sisters as they were on a family vacation in beautiful Amsterdam. The cobblestone moss filled roads, combined with the beautiful architecture really make this painting shine. There are multiple aspects to this painting that I really love. From a painting perspective I love the glow of light radiating from the right corner by the Juli Dans sign. The other component of the painting is that it really brings to life our passion of painting cities and combines it with human emotion. Thrilled with the final result and could not wait till our client had a chance to see it in person for the first time.
Here’s a quote from her Facebook post after receiving the painting. “Beyond excited to see the finished product in person! Jeff Johns and Colin Daugherty are SO very talented and I am always in awe of their skill and craft. This will be an heirloom piece for our family to enjoy for years to come!”

It feels great to finish a painting, especially when you receive a testimonial like the one below. Just received the feedback after delivering this painting of the Cincinnati skyline.
Giving the gift of art is always amazing! Here’s a photo of the proud recipient of one of our latest commissioned paintings titled, The Roebling Bridge | A Kentucky Perspective
As you may have seen, we’ve been commissioned by a company in Columbus to outfit their offices with our art. We’ll be rocking a series of 3 Columbus themed paintings. Here’s a start to second piece in this series.
Here’s a painting of a beautiful dog and his frisbee. While our major focus is on architecture and cityscapes often times featuring the Cincinnati skyline. We also enjoy painting animals and nature inspired scenes. Super excited about the soft and warm energy of this painting.
Here’s the latest commissioned painting, titled Cincinnati in April. Really enjoying painting this perspective of the Cincinnati Skyline because it truly captures the essence of the city’s most iconic structures. The vivid Ohio River draws your eye right up to the beautiful Suspension bridge on the left of the canvas framed by the Great American building and ballpark to the right of the canvas. The symmetry of the city is spectacular from this vantage point, which is likely why this is the third painting from this perspective and we’re starting a new one next week.
Here’s a start on this latest commissioned painting of the Cincinnati skyline titled, Under the Suspension. This is the third rendition of this painting and really looking forward to seeing how it shapes up. Super excited to be working from this reference again as the perspective of being under the bridge and actually on the river really draws you into the city and perches you right under all the magical lights of Cincinnati.
