Excited to share that our final commissioned painting of 2020 is now complete. This piece was an absolute joy to bring to life with all the bold hits of Fall color dancing in the trees. With bold strokes and vivid color we worked hard to capture the moment of these two siblings dancing leaves on a forest walk.

Really looking forward to our client seeing this work of art in person for the very first time.

CincinnatiViewFromDevou2_FinalThrilled to share the final capture of this Cincinnati Skyline painting. This is the second commissioned painting we’ve completed from this perspective.  After spending my childhood years inspired by this view  I was excited to see the panoramic view of both Covington Kentucky featuring the Radisson building along with all the iconic structures of the Queen City brought to life in this work of art.

While generally we prefer to paint in color, the black and white on this painting really allows the painting to focus on the architecture of the city resulting in a dynamic and aesthetically pleasing painting that will look great with nearly any decor.

Can’t wait till the new owner to this piece gets to see it in person for the first time. Getting ready to ship this piece to them in sunny Tampa, Florida.

ViewFromDevou_Final_SmallExcited to share final capture of this painting of the Cincinnati Skyline with the view from Devou Park. After spending much of my youth taking this view in I was excited that we got a commission request to paint this vantage point. This painting captures the panoramic view of both Covington Kentucky featuring the Radisson building along with all the iconic structures of the Queen City.

I have to say we’re thrilled with the outcome of this painting and can’t wait to deliver it to our client later this week. One fun fact about this painting is that the moment it was shared on social media we had a request for another commissioned painting just like it. So stay tuned for the next one!

This painting is now proudly on display at Libby’s Southern Comfort, located in beautiful Covington, Kentucky. While on display this piece is now enjoying the amazing aroma from the best fried chicken in town. Final Capture, Delta Mural | Great American Ballpark at Night

Here’s one last look at the mural for Delta Airlines.  In this capture here I’ve focused on the heart of the painting and retouched out some of the outlets, thermostats, fire alarm devices and door opening objects from the piece. Just super thrilled with where the painting netted out and happy to have another capture of our beautiful city.

Delta Mural | Great American Ballpark at Night

The project we started in early August is getting closer to completion.  This painting of the Cincinnati Skyline landscape is  actually on the walls of the CVG Customer Engagement Center in downtown Cincinnati. The piece is 22 feet wide long wall is over 9 feet tall.

This piece will be titled, Delta, Great American Ball Park at Night | 255″ x 115″ acrylic and mixed medium on wall by Jeff Johns and Colin Daugherty.

Short North | Columbus Ohio

It’s been fun working outside the Cincinnati Skyline world and focusing on some new areas. This year we’ve been asked to paint the St. Louis Skyline as well.

Excited to share the latest on this Columbus Ohio inspired painting. Still a lot more to do on this piece but it’s coming along nicely.
