Here’s the progress capture on my latest Cincinnati painting. This piece captures the beautiful Suspension Bridge, vibrant Ohio River and fog sweeping across some of the city’s most iconic buildings.
You’ll notice that I’ve worked a lot of purple tones into this piece and that is for two reasons. 1.) I began working a session on this painting the day after the passing of Prince and was inspired to use more purple. 2.) With the primary focus of the painting being the Suspension bridge which is predominantly yellow in tone, purple is the perfect complement to really set off the bridge. Stay tuned for the final post of this painting.

It’s rewarding to finish a painting. But the real joy comes from getting a note like this.

Here’s the latest on the painting I’ve been rocking for my wife and I. This painting captures everything we love about the city. The church we were married in, Paul Brown Stadium on a Monday Night Football evening and of course the amazing skyline.
