I was so thrilled when The Steersmen, a Chicago-based band reached out to me through Twitter to purchase the rights to use the artwork of a bridge painting as their cover for their album. Of course I said yes, and we worked up a deal.

“Twitter is awesome! I’ve been on there just a week and already have a deal with a band from Chicago to use one of my paintings as their album art. Pretty cool!“ This was posted to Facebook by Jeff Johns back on January 11th 2013.

Here’s the latest design by The Steersmen that will be launching this March. Stay tuned

Here’s another painting of the hibiscus. I title this Unbound Hibiscus due to the loose and abstract feel of the flower. This painting had a lot of energy at this point so I considered it complete.

I would love to hear your thoughts. Should I push it more? Make it more real?

This is going to be my next painting. I’ve included the reference for my painting which is a photo I took on our Honeymoon from beautiful Maui, Hawaii. After sharing this reference photo the painting was sold before it was even started.
