Sunset on DUMBO, Brooklyn, New York | 24″ x 36″ acrylic on canvas
Excited to share this painting inspired by the stunning view of the Manhattan Bridge from a city street. This area of Brooklyn, New York is referred to as DUMBO, Down under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass. It’s a famous spot, and super instagram worthy.
After seeing this perspective in many movies, in all different seasons, I just had to capture a painting from this vantage point. Another interesting component to this painting is the architecture. While I love painting bridges this was just perfect, and really branches out from all the paintings of the Roebling Bridge that I’ve done.
I hope you enjoy this painting as much as I did with the creation. Looking forward to hanging this piece in our home till it sells.

Happy to share the final capture of this commissioned painting. This piece is hooked, wired and ready to ship to Kansas City and we can’t wait till they see it in person. This painting was commissioned as a wedding anniversary gift so we even worked their names onto the side of the painting.
Here’s a look at my latest painting of the beautiful Statue of Liberty. With COVID-19 in full force and the initial mix of emotions during this time it took a while to pick up a paint brush. Finally after seeing the impact this pandemic initially had city of New York I realized that while in quarantine it was time to do my first painting of a major icon of New York and the United States of America.
